Volunteers are welcome and needed to support all functions of the DBFF from ticket sales to hospitality to sorting and mailing films, soliciting items and/or making donations for the silent auction fundraiser, drivers to pick up filmmakers from the airport, etc.

Brief Job DescriptionsDrivers/Captain
Film Week
Needed- as many as we can get
Must be friendly and outgoing.
Pick-up filmmakers from airports and drive to events.
Cars provided by DBFF or if possible use your own
Must have legal driver’s license
Must be familiar with Delray and area

Answer general questions about festival
Handout general information
General (Filing, odds/ends) Now until Film Week
Sending letter out to filmmakers & film schools
Solicitation letters to sponsors
Work with Quick books
Needed 1 person to come to me or michael’s Must be computer literate

Work with Michael as needed.
Hospitality Suite
Needed 3 people per shift in case we need someone at a theatre( 2
4 hr shifts)
Must be friendly and outgoing. (Will be dealing with filmmakers,
press, industry)
Make sure filmmakers sign our poster and something of theirs
Distribute goodie bags and Tee shirts to filmmakers
Distribute program guides
Volunteer check-in for badges, volunteers must pay $5.00 they must
wear a tee shirt
This is main hub for all drivers, photographs, filmmakers.
May sell merchandise with use of a cash box (t-shirts, hats,
posters)
Sign-ups for Film Festival Special Events
Security
Provide Security at every Party.
Every party needs a person next to the bar tender( if it is our bar)
to collect tickets and/or money
Two people at door to check badges or collect money
Opening night needs at least 8 people
All evening parties needs at least 6 People
Day parties two people
Theatre Audio/Visual Film Week
Run DVD at various venues around town during FF week
Theatre Captain: Howard Copelan
Responsible “go to” person - 1 needed for Movies of Delray and Crest
Theatre and Library
Must be friendly and outgoing
Make sure there are Reserves VIP seats for Industry
Ensure the projector person has all the films
Able to make quick decisions
Collect money if necessary
Make sure will call sheets are at theatres
Get backup if needed from the hospitality suite
Theatre Usher and Ticket seller Film Week
Needed Crest - two people, movies of delray 3 people, Library 1
person, per shift
Must be able to stand on your feet
Must be friendly and outgoing
Collect tickets
Give out and collect ballots and tally ballots for each session
Distribute program guides
Light cleanup after movies
Must call if you cannot make it
Merchandise same as ticket seller Film Week
Sell Merchandise at the Movies of Delray
Sell Merchandise at the Crest
Must be friendly and outgoing
Answers questions about films
Call if you cannot come
Workshops Film Week (Days only) 1 person for each workshop,
