Cassandra Freeman
Cassandra
Freeman was raised in Jacksonville since she was 6 years old by Mack
Freeman (Jacksonville’s first black television news reporter). She
graduated highschool from Douglas Anderson School of the arts,
received her BFA from Florida State University and then went on to
receive her master’s from New York University. After graduation she
jumped into the film world in the Spike Lee”s blockbuster hit Inside
Man where she costarred along side with Denzel Washington, Jodie
Foster and Clive Owen. She then decided to perform a play at the
prestigious Guthry Theater, went on to act in the hit broadway
production of August Wilson’s Seven Guitars directed by Rueben
Santiago Hudson the creator of the HBO movie hit Lakawana Blues.
Performed in the world wide phenomenom play “Vagina Monologes” along
side Jane Fonda and Rosie Perez. Then in 2007 Cassandra went back to
the silver screen to co star in Chris Rock’s “I think I love my
Wife” appeared in several episodes in the CBS show “Numbers” and was
just recently seen playing a defense attorney on the popular T.V.
show “Shark” that stars James Woods.
Cassandra is excited to be able to come back and support the Delta
Teen pageant which she participated in 1997 and won first place and
even more happy to be surrounded by so much love and support.

Maritza Diaz
Maritza Diaz
began her career as a professional dancer/choreographer in Miami
and taught thousands of students of all ages over the course of
18 years. She held the position of Director at Expressions Arts
for the City of Miami Beach. She marketed and promoted this
non-profit program through media outreach and community
relations.
Maritza also worked as a production coordinator/assistant on
numerous film, television and video sets. Projects ranged from
reality, episodic, film and music videos. Part of her
production responsibilities included coordinating shoots for
Nissan North America’s Hispanic and English markets in Miami and
Los Angeles.
She was also a publicist for clients such as Columbia Pictures,
Screen Gems, Lions Gate, Warner Brothers and independent films.
Maritza Diaz continues her path in the public relations industry
by being a member of the Public Relations Society of America and
continuing her charity work. Maritza is excited to continue
working in the entertainment field by working as a Sponsorship
Director for the Delray Beach Film Festival. |
Golden Sand Entertainment Management Team- Jim Cardwell, Chairman/CEO, Golden Sand Entertainment.
As the
former President of Warner Home Video, Mr. Cardwell oversaw the
industry’s number one home entertainment, which included worldwide
DVD
sales, marketing, pay per view, video-on-demand, finance, general
operations, administration and supply chain management. A 20 year
Warner Home Video veteran, Mr. Cardwell had previously served as
Executive Vice President, North America/Australia, with
responsibility for the division’s operations in the United States,
Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico. He joined the division in
1983 as Director of Planning & Administration and was subsequently
promoted to North American Vice President. Mr. Cardwell came to
Warner in 1977 working in the audit department at Warner
Communications in London. He relocated to the U.S. in 1979 as Warner
Communications’ Corporate Audit Manager. Prior to that, he worked at
the accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand in the U.K. and East Africa.
Mr. Cardwell holds a Masters Degree in Economics from the University
of Manchester and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants in England and Wales.

As a former Senior
Vice President of Comerica bank,
she was responsible for directing strategic planning and marketing
campaign development. Charged with the overall strategic and
business direction of the Partnership, Ms. Mastera brings vast
leadership and management experience to her role as President of the
GSE. She was responsible for maintaining and developing new business
relationships for her business group as well as its overall banking
customers. In doing so she has established a strong network of
Media/Entertainment contacts. Formerly, the Senior Vice President of
National Sales for Imperial Bank of California, Ms. Mastera
consulted with industry executives to improve transaction services,
develop business and product strategy and create operational
efficiencies. Ms. Mastera managed and was responsible for merchant
card sales for multiple business groups in the bank including Middle
Market Lending, Entertainment and Internet as well as product
development for the bank’s emerging growth offices. Ms. Mastera
holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Marketing
degree, from Cal State Fullerton.
